Why disposable?

Disposable bamboo cutlery produced by Herun are naturally biodegradable and compostable, and you don't need to worry about any negative impacts on the environment.

The reasons are as follows:

1. Herun's products are made of natural bamboo (nanzhu) raw materials, without chemical sticky substances,  no bamboo powder and other chemical additives. The knife, fork and spoon are made from the original bamboo strips. It's 100% biodegradable and 100% compostable, and easily composted in your backyard by yourself. Here's a tip, breaking up discarded cutlery into smaller pieces will biodegrade and compost in less time than a whole one.

2. Natural bamboo has high sugar content, so it will be boiled and dried at high temperature during the production process, in order to remove sugar and fat, kill insect eggs and prevent mold growth.

The best solution is to apply a layer of food-grade varnish. However, varnished products are not only environmentally friendly, but also not conducive to natural degradation and composting.
